Research Associate III
As a research associate in the molecular biology group at the Institute for Immunology, Cara develops single-cell assays and high-throughput workflows focused on defining molecular characteristics of the human immune system. Hailing from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, Cara gained a breadth of genomic assay experience at Covance Genomics Laboratory where she processed client samples through microarray, NGS, and qPCR assays. Following her role at Covance, Cara moved to NanoString Technologies, where she worked in the product development group, focusing on improving sample prep efficiency for the single-molecule hybridization based sequencing assay, Hyb & Seq™. Cara plans to use her experience and creative thinking to bring innovative and efficient solutions to the Immunology lab.
