Cell Shorts | A new window into heart cells

Christopher Chen and his colleagues at Boston University's Tissue Microfabrication Laboratory used the Allen Cell Collection, a publicly available collection of human iPS cells, to study how sarcomeres are generated in cardiomyocytes (heart cells). Sarcomeres are a structure that gives our heart muscle cells the ability to contract and pump blood. You can read the Chen Lab's scientific publication on this research in Developmental Cell.
