Back End Software Engineer
Matte graduated from Western Washington University in 2015, where he completed a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Biology. While at Western, Matte worked with professors on several projects that blended his interests in software development and biology. These included the Pacific Northwest Moths website, and a metagenomic analysis of algae data from the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. Upon graduation, Matte begin working as a Software Developer at a Fortune 500 company located in downtown Seattle. Matte joined the Allen Institute for Cell Science as a Software Engineer in 2017, and is extremely excited to once again be creating software that helps drive biological discoveries.
