NeuroFutures 2016

The NeuroFutures 2016 conference, hosted this year at the Allen Institute headquarters, engaged thought leaders in research, engineering, industry and clinical domains to discuss the the future of neuroscience. With the theme "Circuit Structure and Dynamics," the conference's 28 speakers, eight moderators and 35 posters explored diverse topics, including how scientists are mapping activity in the visual cortex of the mouse, challenges of imaging the baby brain in action, how neural circuits are organized and assembled, strategies for improving brain function after spinal cord injury and many more.
The event's keynote speakers included:
- Linda Buck, Ph.D., Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, 2004 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine
- Anne Churchland, Ph.D., Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
- Tim Denison, Ph.D., Medtronic
- Liqun Luo, Ph.D., Stanford University
- Afonso Silva, Ph.D., National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke
