Allen Institute Announces Complete Genetic Map of the Human Brain

April 30, 2011

Researchers at the Allen Institute For Brain Science have completed their four year task of mapping the brain based on all known parts of the genome.  The “Human Brain Atlas” is based on a careful biochemical map of two different human brains.  One aspect of this research that I admire highly is that it’s non-proprietary.  They’ve opened up their resources to anyone with a web browser.
