Smrithi Sunil, Ph.D.
Scientist I
smrithi.sunil@alleninstitute.org
Smrithi joined the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics in 2021 as part of the optical physiology team. Her work focuses on developing and utilizing imaging platforms to study the role of and interactions between various neuromodulators during complex behavior. Prior to joining the institute, she obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University under the guidance of Dr. David Boas. Her graduate research focused on using wide-field optical imaging of neuronal activity and hemodynamics to study the evolution of neurovascular coupling during stroke recovery.
