Ramkumar Rajanbabu joined the Allen Institute for Brain Science in 2017 and works as a Research Associate in the Electrophysiology department. As a Research Associate, Ram performs patch clamp electrophysiology on mouse and human tissue slices to obtain nucleated patches.
Ram graduated from the University of Washington in 2016, where he completed a B.S. in Chemistry. While at the university, he worked as an undergraduate Research Assistant under the supervision of Mario Rosasco in Sharona Gordon’s lab at the UW Physiology & Biophysics. He studied the TRP ion channel by using patch clamp electrophysiology methods while aiding in solution preps, transfections, and PCR.
