Rachel Dalley

Manager, Morphology

Rachel Dalley joined the Allen Institute in 2008 as a member of the data Annotation group. Specializing in both mouse and human neuroanatomy, Rachel’s work includes delineation and analysis of all Institute research atlases including the signature human brain atlas, mouse spinal cord atlas, and Ivy glioblastoma atlas. She is currently focused on studying cell shape and structure in mouse and human cortex as critical parameters for understanding the diversity of neuronal cell types. As a senior member of the team, she leverages her neuroanatomy and Lab Information Management System expertise to plan new projects, make workflows more efficient, track cell data and assist less experienced peers. 

Rachel received a B.S. in Neuroscience from the Washington State University.
