Josef Sulc

Research Associate II

Josef joined Tissue Processing team at the Allen Institute in May 2017. Most of his daily work consists of mouse surgeries and occasionally human brain tissue sectioning. Josef's team works closely with the Lab Animal Services, Electrophysiology, and Molecular Biology departments to supply data for projects such as In Vitro Single Cell Characterization (IVSCC). He also works with the Morphology department reconstructing images of human and mouse neurons by mapping dendritic and axonal projections.

Josef graduated with a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience from Western Washington University. During his last two years, Josef worked as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Jeff Grimm’s lab which explored the neurobiology of relapse and addiction in a rat model.
