Florie D'Orazi, Ph.D.
Project and Alliance Manager
Florie serves as a Project and Alliance Manager in the Product and Cell Types programs. She supports the Brain Cell Data Center (BCDC) grant, which aims to create a foundational community resource to share the data, tools, and knowledge generated by the (BRAIN) Initiative Cell Census Network (BICCN), an international collaborative research consortium. In the Cell Types program, Florie works with the Synaptic Physiology and Mesoscale Connectomics project teams.
Prior to joining the Institute in 2018, Florie served as a Science Officer for the Department of Defense’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) administered by the US Army, where she managed an award portfolio supporting research as well as product development efforts in the field of traumatic brain injury. Florie completed her PhD in Neuroscience from University of Washington, studying neuronal regeneration in zebrafish, and earned her BS in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis.
