Bio:
Sebastian joined the Image-Based Assay Development Team at the Allen Institute for Cell Science in August 2025. He earned his B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology at Western Washington University, where he worked as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Annelise Snyder’s Tumor Immunology lab. There, he helped characterize novel regulators of the brain’s innate immune response to breast cancer metastases using both cell culture and murine models. Sebastian’s work centered around the use of immunofluorescence microscopy and live cell imaging to study microglia, the tissue-resident macrophages of the brain.
